What foods improve gut health

First and foremost issues ranging from cardiovascular disease, arthritis, and depression can stem from a poor gut microbiome.

Processed foods, sugar, alcohol and red meat destroy gut microbiome.

Greek yogurt is a powerhouse of good bacteria for your gut, and maintaining normal digestion. Brown rice and oats can hep improve the gut microbiota as well, in addition to reducing inflammation.

Sunflower seeds can lower c-reactive proteins, and inflammation commonly seen with type 2 diabetes and heart disease.

Fiber rich foods such as beans, almonds, and walnuts help our guts break down foods.

Kefir is similar to yogurt and contains magnesium, b12 and a slew of other nutrients including calcium. Kefir is lower in lactose than other dairy products so its usually something that even lactose-intolerant people can enjoy.

Bananas have high levels of potassium as we all know. But what you may not know is that bananas also contain pectin with helps with digestion, as well a resistant starch, both are great for gut health.
