Who should read Psycho-Cybernetics
Psycho-Cybernetics breaks down, what we must understand as human beings in order to craft true success and happiness in our lives.
Where do you derive your beliefs from?
Do you see yourself as a poor student, parent, employee, neighbor etc, etc. Where did you acquire these beliefs about yourself?
The consequences about negative narratives we believe about ourselves will lead us down a path of being unfulfilled.
We act in accordance to the the story about ourselves that we tell ourselves.
Consider most of the cocky and arrogant people you know, often at times you mind find yourself wondering why they behave this way when their over all aesthetic doesn’t match the personality they exude.
This is because the story they tell themselves about themselves is that they are note worthy remarkable and confident beings.
You on the other hand may see yourself as modest, and humble, or shy and introverted.
While there is nothing bad with those qualities, those are not your only qualities. You are capable of showcasing personality without being a jerk.
Only a rational thinker can defeat the hypnotist. Psycho-Cybernetics teaches us that one of the most important things we neglect, is the fact we choose these emotions.
We choose to believe these negative thoughts and can easily at anytime shift our focus to better thoughts.
Another way to think of this, is to think outside of yourself.
We tend to see the potential in others before we see it in ourselves.
We think our homies, are going to be Cam Newton, or Drake. We think our sisters can be the next Serena or Beyonce, but we doubt our own talents.
Rip all negative thoughts out by root and stem.
See your body as a machine
We have electricity flowing through us, and this is a scientific fact. We are literal programmed by external and internal stimuli.
The more advanced we become as a society the more we have to program ourselves to live the kind of life we want to live,
Follow positive people online, you can still keep up with the celebs you normally follow, but scale back on that junk. And feed your mind fruits of positivity. Also realize that all celebs are actors and who they are on social media is not a true reflection of themselves, the job of the actor is to convince its audience, everything they see is real. So one could argue that this in fact is a form of hypnotism.
Program you environment for success, and the life you want, get books, watch YouTube videos, and immerse yourself in your life’s passion.
Obstacles hit everyone relax
Calm yourself and wait for the inspiration to return, or pursue another passion until the inspiration returns.
Psycho-Cybernetics success and failure acronym
SUCCESS to Dr. Maltz is an acronym for:
Sense of direction Understanding Courage Charity Esteem Self-Confidence Self-Acceptance
SENSE OF DIRECTION – We as human beings function much like a bicycle. We can maintain poise and equilibrium as long as we are heading forwards. If we do not have a sense of direction (goal) it is difficult to maintain balance and focus. We become shaky in our outcome.
UNDERSTANDING – Understanding depends on good communication. Communication is vital for any guidance system or computer. Your success mechanism will not function appropriately if the information is faulty or misunderstood.
COURAGE – Having a goal and understanding of the situation are not enough. You must have the courage to pursue the goal. You must have to courage to act, for only by actions can goals, desires and beliefs be translated into realities.
CHARITY – It is a psychological fact that our feelings about other people is a reflection on how we feel about ourselves. When a person begins to feel more charitable about others, he invariably begins to feel more charitable toward himself. It’s important that we stop judging, blaming, and hating others for their mistakes.
ESTEEM – Having a low self-esteem is not a virtue, but a vice.
SELF-CONFIDENCE – Confidence is built upon an experience of success. It doesn’t matter how many times you have failed, what matters is the successful attempt that should be remembered, reinforced, and dwelt on.
SELF-ACCEPTANCE – Changing your self-image does not mean changing yourself or improving yourself. What it means is changing your mental conception and realization of that self. Changing you own mental picture, your own estimation, conception and realization of that self.
Failure to Dr. Maltz is an acronym for:
Frustration Aggressiveness Insecurity Loneliness Uncertainty Resentment Emptiness
FRUSTRATION – Frustration is defined as an emotional feeling which develops when a goal of importance cannot be realized, or some strong desire does not materialize. Chronic frustration means either that the goals you set are unrealistic or the image we have our ourselves is inadequate.
AGGRESSIVENESS – Aggressiveness is a necessary emotional steam that is released when striving for a goal. If the goals are unrealistic and impossible or if the method of attaining the goal is futile, a person with a failure-type personality would aggressively try even more harder. This is like hitting your head against a brick wall and then slamming your head even harder.
INSECURITY – The feelings of insecurity are based upon a concept of inner inadequacy when comparing ourselves to an imagined perfect self.
LONELINESS – Loneliness is the extreme and chronic feeling of loneliness and being alienated by other people is a symptom of a failure mechanism. It’s a way of self-protection to protect oneself against exposure, hurt and humiliation. The lonely personality is afraid of other people.
UNCERTAINTY – Uncertainty is a way of avoiding mistakes and responsibility. It is based on the false premise that if no decision is made, nothing can go wrong.
RESENTMENT – Resentment is the emotional rehashing or re-fighting of some events from the past. Resentment is an attempt to make your own failure “easier” by blaming it on others or blaming injustices. Resentment waste energy that could have been used productively towards an accomplishment.
EMPTINESS – Emptiness is a symptom that comes with not living creatively. It could be because you have no worthwhile goals or that you are not using your inborn-talents to strive for your goals. The people who say “Life has no purpose” actually mean that they are not striving for any particular goal.
Throughout this book, Dr. Maltz utilizes several case studies including famous Olympic and professional athletes, coaches, golfers, rodeo cowboys, sports psychologists, executives, entrepreneurs, sales professionals, and many others whose lives were change by putting this information into action.
Let go of emotional scarring
We tend to bandage up feelings the way we would a wound, and this is detrimental to our lives. In your mind’s theater see yourself as the hero and not the villain only you can save you.
