Who Should Read What the Dog saw by Malcolm Gladwell
If you are unfamiliar with Malcolm's work, What the dog saw offers insights into his state of mind when writing books. What the dog saw, consists of 19 articles from his tenure at the New Yorker.
Should you read What the dog Saw? Yes and no, yes if you're a completionists. No, if you are content with looking at his interviews on YouTube, which offers insight into his thinking.
Now I don't agree with most of his logic, born in Canada, raised with the Elite, and as a white man, even though he is biracial. There is very little we would have in common.
In fact What the dog saw, as well as much of his work in general represents, the far fetched view of Gladwellian's. There are some redeeming qualities and topics worth using as a springboard for developing or considering your own perspective.
Summary
Ultimately I am not a fan of compilation books, which is what I consider this book to be. Gladwell does tie things together sufficiently.
